If your child is placed in an educational program by the school, transportation to and from the program is provided at no cost to you if:
such transportation is necessary for your child to benefit from educational programs and opportunities, including private special education day or residential placements; or
the school has an agreement with another school to provide the services.
Children with and without disabilities will share the same transportation unless your child's IEP requires specialized transportation. The school must ensure that your child is provided a commute to and from education programs and opportunities that is comparable in length to the commute provided to children without disabilities, unless your child's IEP team decides that a longer or shorter commute is necessary to ensure your child receives a free and appropriate public education.
