Attention all new and returning applicants!

Hanover County Public Schools will now use the online application process, Insight by NEOGOV for all full-time and part-time positions.

Please visit our CareerPages: for instructions or just click on the link above.

All new and returning applicants will be required to complete a new application using the NEOGOV website.  If you have any questions, please contact Human Resources at 804-365-4500.

Applications for current openings will still be active in our old system but we ask that you complete the new application in NEOGOV.

Thank you for your patience as we transition to the new application system.

 Online Application Process

Hanover County Public Schools uses an online application process for all full-time and part-time positions.  Please visit our application page for instructions or click here to update a current application.

* Remember to keep your online application complete and up to date using your chosen user name and password or call our HR office at 804.365.4587 to request that they be reset for you.

Substitute Teachers, Homebound Teachers, and Coaches are now included within our online employment application.  (Please also visit the substitute page for additional forms and substituting information.)

Applications that were completed before July 1 and have shown no updates, will be deactivated each year in mid-October.  Applicants can  reactivate applications by logging in and updating the data.  Inactive applications are deleted after three years.

A new application system will be implemented in October 2015.  All current applicants will be notified by email with information regarding how to complete an application in the new system.

 Support Documents

Please be sure the online application includes all critical information requested. (In other words, avoid statements such as, "See resume" for requested application information.) Unlike a resume, the online application information is submitted under oath that all information submitted is true, accurate, and complete.

It is also important that applicants provide the support documents which provide additional details: three letters of reference including current supervisor, unofficial transcripts, resume, and copy of teaching license and test scores, if applicable.

  School Personnel Licensure

Teachers and administrators must show evidence of school personnel licenses from the Virginia Department of Education (or statement of eligibility) appropriate to the positions for which they are applying. Please visit our Teacher Licensure page for more information.
