Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) is a model used to improve a process. It is an "easy to understand" approach to the change process that students can implement, then evaluate to determine if the desired change occurred.

When to use

this strategy:

When a process is not working as expected

When change is needed

To improve the amount of time needed to complete the morning work/routine

To increase homework completion

As a guide for a science experiment

it look like?

How to use

this strategy:

Plan by defining the problem. Decide where you want to be at the end of the process. What is the end goal? Plan what changes will occur to attempt to improve or change the process. Do by putting into action your changes. Study the results. Act by deciding if there are additional changes that need to be made to reach the desired goal. Continue the process until desired goal is achieved.
