The Career Counselor issues scholarship bulletins throughout the academic year.  The scholarship bulletin is  posted on the Career Center Website and Blackboard.  Additional copies are available in the School Counseling lobby and the Career Center.

Any application requiring a transcript must be submitted to the School Counseling Office no later than two weeks prior to the scholarship deadline.  A copy of an official transcript costs $2.00.

When a specific college/university offers a scholarship, it is available only to students applying to and planning to attend that college/university.

Great Aspirations Scholarship Program (GRASP)

GRASP offers services to all students regardless of economic status. The GRASP purposes is to advise, grant scholarships and otherwise financially assist worthwhile but financially deprived secondary school graduates for the purpose of enabling such persons to attend colleges, universities, technical schools and other institutions beyond the secondary school level.

 Your GRASP Advisor:

  • Is your school resource for financial aid questions

  • Can help with college, 2 or 4 year, technical or vocational training.

  • Knows about special benefits for students who have been in foster care.

  • Is available for confidential appointments with students or parents.

  • Has information for students with disabilities.

  • Has expertise in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

  • Will point you towards scholarship opportunities.

  • Is a free resource dedicated to your successful transition after graduation

  • Is brought to you by Hanover County Public Schools and the GReat Aspirations Scholarship Program.  GRASP is a non profit organization supported by local school systems and generous individual and corporate donors.
